Sunday School meets at 9:00 am each Sunday from September through June.

A children's sermon is given at every worship service. Our Sunday School encourages the parents and faith community to share their faith and to develop trusting relationships with our children.

First Communion instruction is available to those children whom the pastor, parents, and child deem ready to receive the sacrament.

Confirmation is a three-year program for our Junior High youth that desire to affirm their faith and their baptismal covenant. Students meet every first and third Sunday for instruction and attend Sunday School.

Sunday School Corner
It’s hard to believe, but the Sunday School year will be coming to an end in June. The small children learned stories about God and his people, enjoyed craft time, while the older children expanded their knowledge on the Worship Service and learned about Bible stories that they had never heard before.

Messiah’s children were very busy this past year. Messiah had three young children playing the parts of the Three Wise Men. They participated in Sunday, Midweek Lenten and Holy Week Services. The older children helped set up for the Easter Egg Hunt and flea market. They delivered the Tricky Tray prizes to the winners. As always, they did a wonderful job with the Christmas play and Souper Bowl skit. They also helped with decorating the bulletin board outside of Pastor’s office, helped with Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day breakfast, served as acolytes, crucifiers, and Jr. acolytes.

Congratulations to the young adults of Messiah, who made their Confirmation on May 23rd!

This will be the last Sunday School Corner until September. The children would like to thank their teachers and helpers for a wonderful year. Enjoy your summer! See you in September!
